Construction Manager / Superintendent - San Francisco Bay Area
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Construction Manager / Superintendent to oversee our new construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the construction of new single-family homes and apartment buildings, with a proven track record of bringing projects to successful completion on time and within budget. Experience working in San Francisco is a significant plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track all project activities using construction management software like BuilderTrend or a similar platform.
- Lead and coordinate all on-site staff, subcontractors, and vendors from foundation to final finish.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules and ensure all milestones are met.
- Order and manage all materials and equipment to prevent delays and stay on budget.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that arise on-site, from design conflicts to material shortages.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with architects, engineers, city officials, and clients through clear verbal and written communication.
- Manage and track project budgets using computer software, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure all work meets current building codes and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager or Superintendent.
- Minimum of 10 years of total experience in the construction industry.
- Extensive experience in new construction of single-family homes and apartment buildings.
- Full understanding of project blueprints, plans, and specifications is essential.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., BuilderTrend, Procore, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects and multiple teams.
- Experience in the San Francisco Bay Area is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
