Job Description:
The Finish Carpenter is responsible for the successful completion of the jobs assigned to him, including performing projects on time, on budget, and with a high level of quality and safety. The Finish Carpenter will also maintain good communication with team members, customers and vendors.
Responsibilities include:
-Journeyman rough and finish carpentry.
-Supervision of subcontractors and company carpenters.
-Pre-construction planning and performing material takeoffs and orders.
-Construction scheduling.
-Understanding all contract documents including plans, specifications, and change orders.
-Complying with building codes, scheduling of inspections and obtaining final inspection.
-Serving as a role model for carpenters and subcontractors working job-site
-Insuring that work is done safely and in adherence to company policies
-Job site protection, and cleanliness
-Participates in assigned meetings with customers, design professionals, inspectors.
Minimum Qualification:
-10 years carpentry experience in residential construction
-Prior experience as lead carpenter.
-Knowledge of principles of construction project management,
-Knowledge of permitting procedures
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Basic computer skills.
-Associate college degree
