Commercial HVAC Installer (Journeyman)
Established San Jose (California)-based mechanical contractor is seeking
experienced commercial HVAC Installer Journeyman. Installer shall work under
the direct supervision of the project’s foreman with the installation of heating,
ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
HVAC Installer Responsibilities:
∙Basic knowledge of installing sheet metal ductwork and insulation and
code requirements
∙Take direction from lead foreman to complete projects successfully
∙Good communication skills and ask questions
∙Arrive at job site scheduled time and location as dispatched
∙Operate company vehicle as needed – valid CA driver’s license and clean
driving record
∙Maintain the necessary tools as listed for HVAC Installer/Journeyman.
∙Complete work assignments in an efficient, thorough, consistent and
punctual manner.
∙Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
∙Participate in and attend employee training, meetings and quarterly
inventory.
HVAC Installer Requirements:
∙Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
∙A “team player” and willingness to learn
∙Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
∙Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
∙Salary shall be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
∙Preferably familiar in the following:
Measuring ductwork and drawing ductwork for fabrication
Hole cutting in metal ductwork
∙Duct connection and installation
∙Installations of equipment such as RTUs, furnaces, exhaust fans,
split systems, VAVs, and roof curbs
∙Installation of duct and flex to local code and SMACNA standards
∙Installation of refrigerant Lines
∙Installation of VAVs, hot water reheat coils, and fan coils

Commercial HVAC Installer Foreman
Established San Jose (California)-based mechanical contractor is seeking
experienced commercial HVAC Installer Foreman. Foreman shall oversee the
installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
HVAC Foreman Responsibilities:
∙Must be able to read construction drawings and can develop a work plan
and materials list.
∙Identify issues between drawing and field conditions to develop RFIs.
∙Able to train, supervise, and direct journeymen to complete tasks.
∙Arrive at job site scheduled time and location as dispatched.
∙Operate company vehicle as needed.
∙Maintain the necessary tools as listed for HVAC Installer/Journeyman.
∙Complete work assignments in an efficient, thorough, consistent and
punctual manner.
∙Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
∙Participate in and attend employee training, meetings and quarterly
inventory.
∙Proficient in the following:
Measuring ductwork and drawing ductwork for fabrication
Hole cutting in metal ductwork
∙Duct connection and installation
∙Installations of equipment such as RTUs, furnaces, exhaust fans,
split systems, and roof curbs
∙Installation of duct and flex to local code and SMACNA standards

HVAC Foreman Requirements:
∙Minimum 8 years of commercial HVAC related field experience. Preferably
3 years in a foreman or field leadership position.
∙Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
∙A “team player”.
∙Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
∙Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
∙Salary shall be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
