Job Summary
The Cabinet Operations Manager/Millworker will manage day to day shop operations including assists in the cabinet making process and provides the finish carpentry function of the project from the initial stage to completion. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager. Technicians communicate with Project Directors, Project Managers and Superintendents frequently.
Key Responsibilities
Core responsibilities for the position are as follows:
Manage and maintain daily cabinet shop operations and job site installations.
Ensure safety and effective operations of cabinet shop including: woodworking machinery, edgebanding machine, power saws and hand tools to cut. Skilled to shape and form products to specific measurements.
Assists in the fabrication of cabinets and countertops from the initial phase to Installation, (install doors, baseboards and crown molding).
Ability to build, repair or custom create cabinets, doors, framework, finishing interior and exterior trim, and other wooden fixtures.
Assist in placing and securing wood during the building process.
Obtains proper measurements, and end-product requirements prior to developing buildout plan.
Manages procurement of all materials, including assistance with preparation of materials list, to ensure production that meets project timelines.
Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.
Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks and props, using hand tools OR Proven ability in framing, measuring, trim work, and finishing work.
Maintains the cabinet shop, including equipment and tool acquisition.
Responsible for assisting in the procurement of building permits.
Performs deliveries to jobsites, including picking up materials from vendors, confirming accuracy of order, and where applicable, verifies the quality of products received.
Responsible for communicating regularly and effectively with supervisors and other managerial staff.
Takes direction from Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Directors and relative to work assignments.
Performs any necessary tasks to help expedite the completion of the job.
Completes timecard efficiently and in a timely manner.

The position of Cabinet Operations Manager/Millworker requires the following:
Management and strong interpersonal communication.
Construction/restoration experience preferred.
One to five years of finish/rough commercial carpentry experience
Must have previous experience working in the construction trades.
Valid Driver’s License – class C
Reliable transportation to and from jobsites - Travel
Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical trade.
Skilled in use of hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
Ability to problem-solve to achieve design intent.
Work under time constraints to meet specific deadlines; multi-tasker.
Great attention to detail.
Excellent customer service principles.
Works well in team environment, as well as independently.
Practices good housekeeping, maintaining workspace in an orderly fashion ensuring a safe and non-cluttered work environment.
Good understanding of safety principles and practices.
Approved respirator physical and fit testing.
Fluent in English (written/verbal).
Working Conditions
Working conditions for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Required OT for scheduled work, after hour response and weekends options available.
Frequent use of L/R hand (power tool use)
Sitting, standing for extended periods
Bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, working overhead
May work in tight spaces.
Frequent lifting of 5-20lbs
Occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
Working at heights over 5ft. on occasion
