WORKS Motorsports at Sonoma Raceway is looking to add a new technician! We have been in business since 2003 working on many of the Bay Area’s nicest street and track cars. Our shop is known for working on Mitsubishi Evo’s as well as Subarus but we work on almost anything.
We have a diverse team working together towards a common goal of providing the best service, products, and car preparation possible. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working on all types of vehicles, not afraid of challenges, and is willing to think outside the box when necessary. We are presented with all different types of situations and need someone who is adaptable with solid troubleshooting skills and a stickler for Quality. We work on everything from race cars to grocery getters and every car must be treated as if it were your own; and with the same professional attitude whether it's a Ferrari or a Ford. Some of the jobs are routine service and others are custom projects. You must be proficient in both. Any and every task must be completed with the cleanest, highest quality workmanship no matter how big or how small the job.
Experienced Technician must have the following:
- Able to work Monday through Friday 9am-6pm
- A minimum of 5+ years automotive experience with Japanese vehicles
- Experience with German and domestic vehicles is a plus
- Tuning or high-performance knowledge or background
- Able to perform everything from routine service to high-performance installations
- Own a comprehensive set of diagnostic and hand tools
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to give 110%
- Neat appearance at all times
- Keep a clean and organized work environment
- Professional demeanor
- Team player attitude
- Able to listen & communicate effectively
- Able to complete and edit Service Orders in a timely, accurate manner
- Solid mechanical skills including experience with wheel alignments, tire mounting and balancing
- Solid electrical troubleshooting skills
- Adaptable to a variety of situations
- Detail oriented
- Takes pride in own work
- CA driver's license with good driving record
- ASE Certification is not necessary, but is a plus.
- Fabrication experience with TIG and/or MIG welding is a plus
- Engine, manual transmission and differential rebuilding is a plus
- Able to work occasional Saturdays is a plus but not required
