We're a small business trying to be slightly less small, but we keep hiring people who appear capable, but can't manage to keep it together for very long. We've had difficulty hiring reliable, skilled, sober, sane technicians in Sonoma County. I'm not going to bother trying to hard sell you on why we're awesome. We try. You can see that for yourself.
I need an experienced and skilled mechanic (or two) who also understands how to work as a team. A pit crew versus the race car driver and a bunch of people who do things for them. We have two techs, two service writers and a shop hand. We have a new shop in Healdsburg and an established shop in Graton. Both are great places to work and we have good clients and sell large, complex repairs.
We are hourly/salary. We do not have benefits yet. Ownership (father and son) both work in the business without paychecks as we're trying to grow and expand so we can have a nicer lifestyle without screwing people over. You're the bottleneck in our plans, as we can't find you. So please let me know you exist!
You're a great fit if you:

You have 3-5 years of current experience in automotive, prior history is not appealing without current automotive repair work
You can use a computer, a scope, tools and kits to accomplish jobs of medium to high complexity with minimal supervision - no one is left alone and we love to work together and solve problems together without shaming or abuse
Want to work with cutting edge tools like CRMs and PicoScopes, Mahle service machines, AI diagnostic support tools, AllData, etc.
Want to work on a range of cars from classic BMW to new Prius or Tacomas. We're 50% Toyota, 20% Euro. The rest is mostly Subaru and Mazda, Ford.
Don't lose your shit every 15 minutes, kick things, throw things, curse, spread ill will, walk around talking crap about your coworkers and giving up every time you stub your knuckle.
Are not a man child, an active alcoholic, active drug addict, or high on the job. Tried those, didn't work out.
