Auto Technician / Mechanic Job in Berkeley
We are a busy, successful, well respected auto repair shop in west Berkeley and are looking for a journeyman auto technician to join our crew. Our mission is to offer the best quality auto repair with outstanding customer service to our clientele.

Candidates need to have 4 years experience working as an auto technician and their own tools. Please don’t apply if you’ve never ACTUALLY worked as an auto mechanic as this position requires a person with experience. Must be familiar with and have repair knowledge of Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Volvo, Audi and Volkswagen – or most of those makes.
The skills needed for this position are the ability to read customer complaints, follow instruction, have good communication, work independently, strong diagnostic experience is a must, ability to follow flow charts, read electrical diagrams, use a computer to access information, knowledge of all automotive systems and experience with digital vehicle inspections. Certifications and training are a plus but not required. Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift at least 50 lbs and have the endurance to do physical work, non-stop for the duration of the work day.
Applicant needs to be punctual, detail oriented and have a good attitude. They must contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the shop. The right candidate will show up on time, ready to get to work and slay the dragon. Be someone who likes cars, enjoys working on them and takes pride in the work they do.
