As IT Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the cybersecurity strategy and operations within the organization. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard the organization’s IT infrastructure, data, and networks. You will lead a team of security professionals, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Stay current on the latest security threats and trends and adjust security practices accordingly

Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security gaps and recommend mitigations

Implement risk management processes to evaluate the potential impact of security threats and take proactive measures

Lead the organization’s response to security incidents, including threat detection, containment, and resolution

Develop and maintain an incident response plan and conduct periodic drills and simulations

Manage security tools and technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software

Manage and mentor a team of IT security professionals, providing guidance on best practices, project management, and career development

Conduct ongoing security training for employees to raise awareness about security risks and safe practices

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, StateRAMP, SOC2)

Work closely with auditors to ensure audits and assessments are completed, and recommend security improvements based on findings

Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of security measures with business goals

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure IT architecture, including network security, endpoint security, and cloud security solutions

Ensure proper segmentation of networks and systems to minimize the impact of potential breaches

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (required)

Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CEH, etc.) preferred

Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT security or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role

Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and endpoint protection technologies

Familiarity with cloud security, including AWS and Google Cloud environments

Expertise in security best practices, risk management frameworks, and regulatory requirements

Proficient in using security monitoring and management tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, etc.)

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent organization and written communication skills
