Bay Area Author Seeking Part Time Personal Assistant
You need to be smart, have a sense of humor and be detail-focused (like know how to spell words correctly). And be confidently adept at posting to social media sites (Face Book, You Tube, Instagram, X, and be willing to learn how to handle Blue Sky, author's Mail Chimp email list, and how to enter new content onto author's website). Some familiarity with Google, Mac, and at least entry level I.T. skills would be good. Author is a semi-moron about all of the above. And why I need you.
You can work from home. And if you have good social media posting skills, this job shouldn't eat too much into your life. A plus would be if you have a car, and can occasionally work together
with me on projects at my home in the Richmond, California hills. Another plusthough not a necessity would be if you're young enough to have grown up in the digital age, and so I'm open to college and graduate school students, especially if they have some interest or background in psychology, spiritual practice, poetry, or publishing.
Some weeks I'll only need you for a few hours of researching podcasts and websites to query. Most of the time I'll need you to post to the social media platforms above, and help deal with publishing chores and errands so that I have more time to write. Since I've never had an assistant before I can't say for certain how many hours each month I'll wind up needing you,
so we'll both need to have a flexible range, at least at the beginning until we find what our sweet spot is. You'd start at $20 per hour. If we're a good match and you're not getting enough hours, I could bump the pay up a bit.
