J. Roland Salon takes great pride in bringing our clients the highest level of customer service, products and personal attention. We are a full-service hair salon located on the ground floor in Union Square. We thrive in a people-first culture dedicated to supporting each other, our clients, and our communities. We are seeking a PART TIME Front Desk Receptionist with a welcoming disposition and ability to multi-task while providing professional customer care.

OUR TEAM:

-Courteous and professional Front Desk/Salon Manager

-Independent Contractors: Stylists and Colorists

-Employed Staff: Full + Part-Time

-Salon Stylist/Colorist Assistants

-Part-Time Housekeeper

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Provide a welcoming experience to clients from scheduling, check-in to check-out with accuracy and ease

-Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Manage appointment book (scheduling, rescheduling, canceling as well as coordinating between 2 or more service providers)

-Maintain a professional and neat work environment and appearance

-Perform opening and closing procedures

-Provide basic office administrative tasks such as mailing, faxing, coping, filing, typing, etc.

-Knowledge of services, products, and pricing to best assist clients

-Organizing, maintaining, and selling retail products

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

-HS Diploma or GED required; AA preferred

-Exceptional people skills with at least 1+ years of customer service experience

-Punctuality to come to work as scheduled, on time, and take breaks as scheduled

-MUST be a team player

-MUST be able to learn services, products, and pricing to best assist clients

-Prior knowledge of: Internet, Word, Excel, and ability to learn new software quickly

-Zenoti Software experience preferred but not required

-Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize with high level of accuracy

-Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

-Takes initiative to complete tasks and improve skills during slower times

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

-Starting from $19/hour
