International Business Strategies, Inc. is a leading, market research company in the high-tech industry, with a focus on semiconductors as well as AI and other areas. IBS has been in business for over 30 years with customers in the U.S., China, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. IBS has many large corporations as clients, and there is the expectation of providing high quality information. The position is full-time, and IBS’ office is located in Los Gatos, California. Training will be provided during which time it is expected that the candidate will be a productive part of the team and will engage in multiple tasks within the office.
Job requirements:
- Collect research data from the Internet on key topics within the semiconductor industry (domestic and international coverage)
- Support with office duties and operate effectively as a member of the office team
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is mandatory for data entry/typing, creating tables/graphs, proofreading (minimum 40 wpm typing speed)
Candidate qualifications:
- Previous experience in high-tech, preferably in semiconductors
- Understanding of global economic issues are beneficial in order to be effective in research
- Must operate as team member, which means effective communication skills
- Excellent English grammar skills (written and spoken) are essential
- Appropriate documentation required for ability to work full-time in U.S.
Work hours:
- Full-time, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 5:30pm with one hour lunch (some OT may be required on occasion).
- Location is on-site in main office and remote office (both offices in Los Gatos, less than 4 miles apart). Working from home is not currently an option.
