We are a fast-growing startup in San Jose, CA, seeking a skilled and adaptable Project Manager for a contract-to-hire role. The ideal candidate will have experience working in SaaS, technology, or ERP projects and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and project teams. An accounting background is also welcome, as we value diverse skill sets. We are looking for someone who can drive projects to completion quickly and efficiently, maintain a firm yet flexible approach, and easily adapt to utilizing AI tools. Experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and mutual fit. The selected candidate must be able to work from our San Jose office.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and oversee projects in the SaaS, technology, or ERP domain
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget
- Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and project team members
- Facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear action items and follow-ups
- Identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans
- Adapt to and incorporate AI tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain project documentation using tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Foster a collaborative and flexible work environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on SaaS, technology, or ERP projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and project teams
- Proven track record of delivering projects quickly and efficiently
- Ability to be firm yet flexible in driving project success
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management tools is a plus
- Adaptability and openness to learning and utilizing AI tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Accounting background is a plus but not required
- Must be able to work from our San Jose office
