Maplebear Inc. D/B/A Instacart in San Francisco, CA seeks Computer Vision Engineer (Multiple Openings).
Responsibilities: Leverage cutting-edge AI and computer vision technology to deliver autonomous shopping experiences to brick-and-mortar stores. Duties include: applying advanced techniques like feature extraction, CNNs, supervised machine learning, transfer learning, and distributed deep learning to deliver better in-store applications; designing and implementing computer vision algorithms and data architectures for commercial product recognition; building large-scale data pipelines to support CV and ML infrastructure; developing computer vision application logic including processing, serving, and inferencing; performing ongoing testing and analysis of existing products and continuously optimizing for speed, accuracy, and user experience; collaborating with hardware team to better apply CV and DL technologies into embedded systems; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Instacart headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
Master’s degree in Computer or Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related. Other special requirements include: 2 years of experience working with C/C and Python; 2 years of experience working with TensorFlow, Pytorch, or similar frameworks; 2 years of experience working with Docker, K8S, or similar containerization technologies; 2 years of experience working with Nvidia Deep Learning tools like CUDA, TensorRT, or DeepStream; and 2 years of experience working with deep learning model optimization and compression technologies.
