Job Title: Used Car Service Advisor

Location: Newark, CA (Near Fremont)

Company: Fremont Ford

About Us:

Fremont Ford is a premier automotive dealership dedicated to providing top-quality vehicles and exceptional service to our customers. We specialize in offering a wide selection of high-quality used cars, and we are currently seeking a talented Used Car Service Advisor to join our team.

Position Overview:

As the Used Car Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient reconditioning and marketing of our pre-owned vehicles. You will serve as the liaison between our sales and service departments, coordinating all aspects of the reconditioning process to ensure that cars are ready for sale in less than 7 days. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating with off-site sublet companies and overseeing the marketing efforts to promote our used car inventory effectively.

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact between the sales and service departments for all used car reconditioning matters.

Coordinate with the service team to prioritize and schedule reconditioning tasks to ensure vehicles are ready for sale within the established timeframe.

Communicate regularly with sales staff to provide updates on the status of reconditioning and ensure timely delivery of vehicles to the sales lot.

Work closely with off-site sublet companies (e.g., detailing, body shops) to schedule and oversee any necessary outsourced services.

Ensure that all reconditioned vehicles meet the dealership's quality standards and are properly inspected before being marketed for sale.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting our used car inventory, including online listings, advertising, and promotions.

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for improving the visibility and desirability of our used cars.

Maintain accurate records of reconditioning activities, expenses, and vehicle statuses in the dealership's management system.

Requirements:

Previous experience in automotive sales or service, preferably in a dealership setting.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members across departments.

Knowledge of automotive reconditioning processes and best practices is highly desirable.

Familiarity with marketing techniques and strategies, particularly in the automotive industry, is an asset.

Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and dealership management systems.

Benefits:

Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.

Health and dental benefits package.

Opportunities for career advancement within a growing dealership.

Dynamic and supportive work environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Employee discounts on vehicle purchases and services.

How to Apply:

If you are a motivated and organized individual with a passion for the automotive industry, we want to hear from you! Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this position. We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional service and value to our customers through our pre-owned vehicle inventory!
