Fortrend Engineering is seeking an experienced Semiconductor Sales Engineer to join our team. This role at Fortrend involves both developing sales with existing clients and expanding our customer base. It combines technical expertise with strategic sales skills to identify, prospect, and close opportunities within the semiconductor industry. You will leverage your technical knowledge and customer-facing experience to present Fortrend’s automation solutions, build relationships, and deliver customized system integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and manage a robust sales pipeline with a focus on Tier 1 semiconductor manufacturers.

Manage end-to-end customer relationships, including executive, technical, and service stakeholders.

Proactively identify and pursue opportunities through networking, trade shows, digital channels (website/social media), and

referrals.

Collaborate with engineers to design automation solutions aligned with customer workflows.

Deliver technical presentations and support customer visits to showcase Fortrend’s capabilities.

Generate quotes, ensure clean order bookings, and manage customer build configurations (EARs/BOM).

Resolve customer issues promptly and monitor receivables to maintain financial health.

Domestic and international travel required.

Experience:

BS in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years in semiconductor industry sales, with proven success in new customer acquisition.

Experience selling to Tier 1 semiconductor manufacturers; automation/robotics knowledge preferred.

Background in product management or new product introduction.

Skills & Abilities

Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently with limited supervision

Ability to communicate technical details and reasoning to other engineers and management required

Excellent documentation skills required

Superior communication skills.

Knowledge or proficiency in a second language – Chinese, Spanish, or Korean is a plus.
