Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Hotel Sales Manager to become part of our dynamic team at The Lodge at Marconi. Eight indoor and outdoor newly renovated event spaces, 45 guest rooms, and a restaurant opening this summer.

Lodge at Marconi is perched above Tomales Bay on 62 acres of California State Historic Park. The hotel is the ideal location for destination weddings, meetings, corporate retreats, and social gatherings. We reopened in September 2023 after major renovations and a redesign by Brooklyn-based Home Studios.

The phones are ringing off the hook! This is a great opportunity to grow with a new luxury hotel. Join us as a Hotel Sales Manager and take on the crucial role of showcasing our outstanding hotel and event venue to prospective customers.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting is a must

Knowledge and network of relevant hospitality industry leaders in the Bay Area and beyond

Respond to and manage complex incoming opportunities for the property

Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business to achieve property revenue goals

Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue

Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc. and knows how to sell against them

Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenues and close on business

Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations

Selling guest rooms and meeting space to customer groups

Managing accounts

Conducting site inspections and giving tours

Preparing and presenting effective proposals

Maintain well-organized documentation and reports

Utilize sales systems

Coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate

Participate in event and sales meetings

Qualifications:

Refined verbal and written communication skills

A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales

Effectively manage client relations

Partner with operations and events departments to ensure full participation in servicing guests and clients

Must be proficient in general computer knowledge

Capacity to work independently

Competitive spirit

Compensation:

$85,000 + Bonus

Flexibility on weekends, holidays, and evenings is crucial. A hybrid schedule may be considered for the right fit.

Built in 1972, the Lodge at Marconi was originally designed by renowned architect Ellis Kaplan as a timeless space that integrated with its natural surroundings. In 2022, we set out to faithfully restore the lodge with an emphasis on celebrating its history while curating the amenities of a modern resort hotel.
