I own a small garage door repair and installation company. I am seeking a full-time salesman/estimator to run estimates and land the sale.
The work would include meeting customers at their homes (scheduled appointments, not cold-calling) and taking measurements and pictures. You would then follow up with the customer with a price for the door and try to get a signed contract and then get it ordered and scheduled.
Must have sales or extensive customer service.
Must be proficient with computer and office tasks/organization.
Must be a good note-taker and communicator.
Training at $21 an hour for 1-2 months
Once trained $29 an hour plus 1% commission ($100-$150 per week usually)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Garage Door Salesman and Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling and estimating garage door installations to mostly residential customers. As a crucial member of our sales team, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Conduct sales presentations to prospective customers, showcasing our range of garage door products and services.
Assess customers' needs and provide expert advice and recommendations on the most suitable garage door solutions.
Generate accurate estimates and quotes for garage door installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
Collaborate with customers to address any questions or concerns, and negotiate terms to secure sales agreements.
Coordinate with installation teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion of customer orders.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and technologies to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to foster repeat business and referrals.
Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the garage door industry or related field.
Strong understanding (or willingness to learn)of garage door products, installation techniques, and repair procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
Proficiency in estimating and quoting garage door projects accurately.
Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in sales or related fields is a plus.
