The Farmer’s Market Attendant is responsible for bringing frozen products to markets, setting up our booth, and welcoming customers to shop. They maintain a positive approach to conversation while encouraging up sales. They are determined to help each customer find the product they are looking for that will work best for their particular application.
Attention to detail in regards to the aesthetic of our set up is of utmost importance. It must always be stocked with approved products and labeled accordingly. All products displayed must be in top condition, sealed and labeled properly. With Experience, an Attendant will know exactly how much and what type of product to bring to each different Market to maintain efficiency and encourage sales.
Key Performance Outcomes:
-Increase sales over average for each particular market based on sales history
-Maintain cash integrity, deposits are made according to SOP
-Replenish products before every market to ensure availability and check quality
-Organize farmers market freezer area daily and maintain inventory, no boxes on floor
-Customer service is most important, no negative reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
-Upsell Bacon and Jerky primarily, ask every customer if they need some
-All products stored must be properly labeled, dated, and organized according to SOP
-Rotation of fresh and frozen products must be maintained, first in first out FIFO
-Take orders in person, confirm availability before guaranteeing
-All preplaced orders must be ready in designated area, ready for bringing to market
-Clean out coolers and replace liners on frequent basis
-Refrain from using products already in other Attendants loadout
-Communicate with Litten and Eddy to determine scheduling and time off requests
-Write down questions you get from customers so we can answer them for you if you don’t know
-Inventory management, display must always be full up until end of market
Qualifications:
2+ years in retail, sales, or similar customer service environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Expectations:
Work Square POS and collect money from customers. Operate all equipment and handle utensils safely. Maintain high sanitation standards. Work with a sense of urgency.
