JOB DESCRIPTION
Security Guard for residential apartment building located in the Tenderloin.
Shift is 9pm to 3am.
This is a non-supervisory position.
Compensation is an hourly paycheck delivered bi-weekly.
Responsibilities, expectations and requirements include but are not limited to:
Having a functioning cell phone at all times to maintain contact with management.
Having a sense of urgency and acknowledge all requests in a reasonably timely manner.
Keeping an eye out for and reporting concerns anywhere in the building – lobby, hallways, all stairwells, roof, basement and alley.
Assisting tenants who lock themselves out.
Assisting tenants who may need emergency supplies, plungers, mops, etc.
Passing tenant requests for security footage to management.
Distributing mail and packages.
Checking the basement is secured and that all doors that should be locked are secured.
Write down incidents in the security log.
Call and report to authorities when warranted.
Provide access control to the building.
Making sure individuals banned from building do not enter or get escorted out if they are already in.
Make sure vacant units are locked to prevent illegal occupation and storage.
Check the key locker to ensure all keys are accounted for. Report discrepancies to Management. Keys to vacant units will be held only by the Property Manager.
Keeping an eye out for and reporting maintenance issues/concerns to Management (trash chutes, lobby, mailboxes, front gates, hallway, all stairwells, roof, alley, sidewalks and exterior walls, lighting, etc.)
