About the Position:
We’re seeking a highly professional, reliable, and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team at a licensed cannabis dispensary. We prioritize safety, discretion, and exceptional customer service. You'll be responsible for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for customers and staff, while deterring theft and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
Active BSIS Guard Card & Exposed Firearms Permit – Required
Reliable transportation & punctuality – Must be able to consistently report to shifts on time
Prior experience in armed security, preferably in cannabis, retail, or high-value environments
Calm, alert, and professional under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to stand for long periods and remain observant throughout shift
High level of integrity and judgment
Familiarity with cannabis regulations is a plus (but not required)
Duties Include:
Access control, greeting customers, and ID verification
Visual deterrence and patrols
Monitoring for suspicious activity or potential threats
Incident reporting and coordination with management
Supporting emergency protocols, when necessary
Providing a reassuring and respectful presence for staff and customers
