ARMED GUARD

SEEKING MULTIPLE ARMED GUARDS FOR RETAIL LOCATION IN OAKLAND AREA
We are seeking several guards for security and loss prevention at a retail location near the Oakland Arena. We have morning, and swing shifts available. We are open to all backgrounds, Straight, LGTBQ Friendly, binary, non binary etc.
The ideal candidate has armed security experience, patrolling properties, and have no qualms about working with the public and/or working alone during the morning or afternoon.
NOT a requirement:
Living in Oakland is a plus
Loss Prevention experience
Property Security experience
Bilingual in Spanish
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must currently hold a valid Guard Card
Must currently hold a valid Firearm Permit
Must be either a United States citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
Must be available for Mornings AND Swing shift/Afternoon
Must have verifiable work experience as an Armed Security Guard
Vaccinated OR willing to comply with bi-weekly testing
Must be willing to stand on post 4-6 hrs per shift, with breaks included
Must be able to pass a background check
Must have reliable transportation to Oakland and/or San Francisco.
Must be willing to follow all Security and Safety protocols as instructed and communicated by Management.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct patrols and investigation of client property by foot patrol.
Respond safely to client alarm activations, calls for service, escorts etc.
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues such as fire hazards, water hazards or any maintenance concerns
Be able to write concise and accurate reports with proper spelling and grammar.
Report criminal or suspicious activity to local law enforcement, if necessary.

Pay: $27.00/hr to start or higher based on qualifications.
Type of Work:
Part time to start. May become full time after a 90-day probationary period.
Any raises can be discussed or negotiated after 4 months of employment.
This is initially a part time position to start. After 4 months of employment, an increase in working hours can be negotiated
