Korbel Champagne Cellars, located in the picturesque Russian River Valley, has been a long-standing California Champagne establishment in Sonoma County since 1882. Our winery is seeking a full-time, Seasonal Viticulture & Grower Relations Assistant with our Vineyards department.
This is a part time / seasonal position, through harvest (roughly July-October); hours can be flexible dependent on harvest schedules, approximately 20-30 hours/week. This position will assist in the day-to day duties of Korbel Vineyards under the supervision and in collaboration with the Viticulturist and Grower Relations. Employee must be a team player and ability to think with a safety, sustainability, and quality mind-set. This is a great role for those looking to gain experience in the wine industry or seeking an interim role that takes one to gorgeous vineyards and outdoor vistas throughout the Russian River Valley and Lodi region.
Vehicle and ATV will be provided. Clean driving record is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCULDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Assist in determining crop estimates by collecting cluster counts and bunch weights
Must be committed to working the entire harvest
Basic knowledge and operation of ag based equipment (towing a trailer, loading and unloading ATV, etc)
Sugar sampling during harvest for our wine making and vineyard departments
Driving to Clarksburg/Lodi area to collect grape samples
Lift and carry 50lbs as well as walk on uneven surfaces
Read and follow a map of vineyards
Work with minimal supervision

Hourly range for this position is $20-$24.25/hour.
