McCampbell Analytical, Inc. (MAI), a full-service environmental analytical laboratory located in Pittsburg, CA (SF Bay Area). We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager, for a 10am - 7pm shift, Monday through Friday, to add to our team.

This candidate reports directly to the Lab Manager and will be trained by current PM staff in all job functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following and possess the following qualifications.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Review data/reports as well as invoices before issuing them to clients

Communicates with clients regarding report status, expected delays, data quality, etc.

Provides technical support for data, methods, reporting limits, and sampling containers to confirm acceptability and compliance with method specifications

Review project documentation (permits, SOW, QAPP, and purchase orders) against laboratory capabilities

Acts as liaison between clients and analysts, technical staff, and quality assurance staff

Schedules couriers, as needed

Quote generation, as needed

Assists with process improvement methods in the laboratory

Confirms correct report and EDD formats are used

Compiles case narratives

Qualifications:

A four-year college degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other closely related science discipline.

A minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience ranging from laboratory bench work, method R&D, &/or project management

Clear and concise communication with clients and laboratory staff members—both verbal and written

Multi-tasking is essential in the lab environment along with attention to detail in completing all tasks

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Computer skills – using routine software applications such as Outlook, Office, Excel, Word, and Access

Familiarity with a Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) database would be preferred

Strong knowledge of EPA, Standard Methods, NIOSH methodologies; state and federal environmental regulations and laboratory protocol is desirable

Teamwork-driven personality with a strong work ethic and desire to learn
