About the role: The Biobank Guardian will be responsible for overseeing all things involved with samples getting them from our patient scientists, processing them in our lab, and securing them for later research. We imagine this person to be well-organized, have high attention to detail, and a mindset that is excited to solve problems involving scale. You will be handling shipping logistics involving ImYoo kits, processing incoming samples for biobanking purposes, and ensuring our internal LIMS is up to date with relevant metadata. Automation of processes will also be involved - so hopefully robots will also be your friends :)
You will be working closely with our principal scientist to learn existing protocols and SOPs, and working on performing them, refining them, and scaling them. These samples are contributed by patients who are seeking better understanding of their condition, while providing highly valuable and unique molecular samples for those looking to build better treatments. Respect and care for these samples in this role is essential.
