We are seeking a talented and dedicated Windows Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Position: Windows Systems Engineer

Job Description

As a Windows Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based systems and infrastructure, both on-premises and in-cloud, for our clients. You will collaborate with our team of IT professionals to provide top-notch maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and optimization of systems to meet the evolving needs of our clients. This is an in-office position located in San Ramon, CA.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, networks, and cloud-based resources and related components.

Perform system monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning to ensure system reliability and efficiency.

Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows-related services both in traditional domain controllers and Microsoft Intune endpoint management solution.

Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues in a timely manner.

Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes.

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored IT solutions.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure optimal system performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Windows Systems Engineer or similar role.

In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and related technologies.

Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell.

Strong understanding of network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Network+, or similar.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. MS-900 and AZ-900 are desired.

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
