Rubrik, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA has multiple openings for the role of Customer Success Engineer.
Responsibilities: Diagnose and resolve network problems within Rubrik’s product and within the customer environment. Duties include: troubleshooting networking connectivity and performance issues between Rubrik appliances and the cloud using network troubleshooting tools and other packet tracking and analysis tools; delivering effective solutions to network backup, recovery, replicate, archive, index, and search data across Rubrik clusters and the cloud; working on clusters operations tasks such as cloud and on-premises clusters upgrades, clusters bootstrap, and nodes addition and nodes removal from clusters; assisting customers and partners in administrating and configuring network, router, switch, firewall, and spam settings; providing recommendations to the customer regarding reducing data archival cost to cloud platforms, data migration between different cloud platforms and tiering, clusters capacity planning based on data usages; collaborating with Rubrik’s engineering and QA teams to recreate customers’ issues in the lab to evaluate and eliminate such issues in the future; participating in training. Other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States, but will report to our office in Palo Alto, CA.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 6 months of experience in the job offered or related support engineering positions. Other special requirements include: 6 months of experience in one of the following Object-Oriented languages: Java, Scala, Python, C or similar programming languages; 6 months of experience utilizing packet tracking and analysis tools such as Wireshark, Fiddler, Microsoft Network Monitor, or similar; 6 months of experience troubleshooting network performance issues as well as connectivity issues related to TCP/IP, SSH and HTTPS; and 6 months of experience administrating Linux system configurations, performing upgrades and tuning, troubleshooting kernel and application errors through stack/thread traces and core dumps.
Rate of Pay: $89k - $100k
