We are currently hiring Sales Associate / Fit Consultant and Assistant Manager
Birkenstock Village, is a family-owned “sit-and-fit” shoe store specializing in premium comfort shoes, socks, insoles, and handbags. We hire smart people with diverse backgrounds and work experiences, including a former forklift operator, a physical therapist, a sushi chef, and a poet.

We offer a starting wage of $22/hr for sales associates and $25/hr for assistant managers (see the bottom of this page for more details about ASM).

The position’s essential job functions include, but are not limited to: daily light cleaning, lifting up to 30 lbs, kneeling, climbing ladders, constantly on the move to get new shoes for customers. You must be comfortable with hands-on fitting and helping people in pain.
Applicants must be able to work at least Sundays and Mondays. In your cover note, please let us know of any days you are not able to work and if you are interested in Part-Time or Full-Time hours. Once you have been fully trained, you will have a regular schedule you can rely on. Our day begins at 9:40 am and ends at 6:15 pm.

Skills You Possess
Past experience overseeing a team as a supervisor and a key holder
High quality retail experience and customer service skills
Technology savvy with working knowledge of Google programs, Retail Pro or other POS system, and Excel
Creative and analytical thinking
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Self-starter, can-do attitude, “see a need and act on it”
Ability to handle multiple projects at once
Desire to motivate and build team morale and be a team player yourself
Knowledge or interest in social media management - instagram, facebook, tik tok
Experience with advertising and outreach preferred
Experience with shopify or e-commerce platforms preferred
Inventory management skills preferred
Hiring and review experience and some knowledge of HR protocols preferred
Some of the things you will do
Function as the store manager when the General Manager is unavailable
Fitting guests for shoes, socks, insoles, and other products
Be an active member of the team helping with stockroom organization, cleaning, showroom displays, events and more!
Help GM do and delegate daily tasks
Assist in protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
Addressing customer and staff questions, needs, and concerns
Open and close Birkenstock Village
Be available as an emergency contact for staff and security
Participate in bi-annual shoe buying shows and provide feedback and suggestions for ordering
