Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Pet Nutrition Specialist to join our team. This position could be either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's availability and experience. As a Pet Nutrition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in educating customers about the benefits of raw pet food and guiding them towards the best nutrition choices for their beloved pets.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting the right products based on their pet's specific dietary needs and preferences.
Educate customers on the importance of raw and natural pet food diets, as well as the benefits of incorporating supplements and treats into their pet's nutrition regimen.
Maintain a thorough understanding of our product offerings, including ingredients, sourcing, and nutritional value.
Keep abreast of the latest trends and research in pet nutrition to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
Handle transactions at the point of sale with accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting regular product checks for freshness and quality.
Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
Qualifications:
Passion for pets and a strong commitment to promoting their health and well-being.
Knowledge of pet nutrition, particularly raw and natural food options, is highly preferred, but we can train the right person.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and engage customers.
Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
