Position Overview: We are seeking a part-time Sales Associate to join our Oakland team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves pets and is excited about raw food diets and holistic pet health. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to help customers find the best food and supplements for their pets.
Maintain product displays, ensure stock is organized, and pack bulk treats for sale.
Assist with online order fulfillment and packaging for local pick-up and shipping.
Educate customers on the benefits of raw food diets and holistic health for pets.
Manage the store independently during shifts, ensuring all daily tasks are completed efficiently.
Support our certified canine nutritionist by scheduling consultations and answering basic nutrition questions.
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities without direct supervision.
Passion for pet health and wellness.
Retail or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (for stocking and packaging products).
Must love animals!
Hours & Compensation:
Part-time 24-30 hours per week.
