Convenience Store Assistant Manager

A well established quality oriented full service car wash, gas station and c-store, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking to fill 2 Assistant Store Manager positions to oversee and manage the daily operations reporting direct to franchisee management.

We are looking for well organized, detail oriented personnel with excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The candidates must must have integrity, respect, and honesty. Excellent written/verbal communication and management skills are essential to creating a work environment that attracts and retains high performing employees.

The position will require a minimum of two (2) years of keyholder experience at a convenience/retail operation. Experience with Passport POS System & SSCS backroom software is highly desirable, but not required if experience is with a different branded system.

The Assistant Store Manager's will report directly to the Operations Manager and is accountable for sales performance, focusing on growth and profitability, customer satisfaction, and the training and development of the entire staff. The correct candidate must have strong analytical skills to assess operations, process problems and develop appropriate solutions. Also, must be able to plan, prioritize and successfully execute multiple projects with little or no direction. The selected candidate will be expected to set annual goals, create and execute strategies to maximize operation sales and control expenses, and develop daily performance reports with a focus on minimizing operational losses.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

-Promote an excellent level of customer service at all times.

-Maintain a safe environment to ensure the well being of all employees and customers.

-Control and monitor the quality and safety of work performed by employees.

-Provide job training for all employees in conjunction with the Operations Manager.

-Prepare on-going and timely performance reviews for all employees.

-Establish periodic on-going communication meetings with all site employees.

-Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely, professional manner.

-Develop, manage and assign tasks appropriately to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, organized and well-kept based on company standards.

-Keep track of inventory and order when needed.

-Assure vendor deliveries are completed properly and in compliance with company policy.

-Be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly sales and expense reports and take appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits.

-Organize and maintain all site files and manuals.

-Define, plan and monitor staffing requirements and work schedules.
