Aquarium Tech Postions- Immediate Opening
We are looking to fill two positions at the moment. One for our Saltwater Coral/Fish section, and the Other for our Freshwater Plants and Fish section.
Position 1Saltwater Coral Tech: (We can provide full training, No experience needed If you are a fast learner and will be able to do the below mentioned tasks after the training. We prefer either saltwater aquarium hobbyist or someone who is interested in the aquarium hobby)
1- Will be responsible for the coral section of the entire shop.
2- Must know how to maintain a coral reef system
3- Must know how to grow corals
4- Must know how to control pests such as bubble algae, bryopsis, Aptasia etc in reef system
5- Must know how to run chemical tests using Apex trident as well as Hanna checker
6- Some knowledge in Frag Saw maintenance.
7- When reef equipments break down then you must know how to fix that, and bring back the system online. For example, if the Auto Top Off breaks down in Apex, then must be able troubleshoot and fix it. If calcium reactor stops working, then must have the knowledge to bring them back to working condition.
8- Willingness to learn as well as teach others is the most important quality that we are looking for.
Here is your oppurtunity to use your talents and grow corals in commercial level. We will spend for it, and you show your talents from your side, and let's see what comes out of it.
Postion 2- Freshwater Plants and Fish Tech ( (We can provide full training, No experience needed If you are a fast learner and will be able to do the below mentioned tasks. We prefer either an aquarium hobbyist or someone who is interested in the hobby)
1- Must have knowledge growing freshwater fish
2- Must know how to install CO2 system on planted tanks
3- Must have some knowledge on quarantine proceedures and Medications for fresh water fish
4- Must know how to maintain a Freshwater Aquarium
5- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
6- Idealy we are looking for some one who is resposible for our freshwater section.
Hiring immediately. we start with $18/hr First. We get fish, corals and Invertebrates from all over the world, and it will be a great exciting learning oppurtunity in handling fish and corals in a commercial level.
If you work overtime when our fish shipments come, there is oppurtunity to make more a week.
Work involves helping walk-in customers, cleaning fish tanks, feeding fish, packing specimens for shipment for our online orders, water change, and water chemistry testing etc
