Join our community as the Onsite Manager at a vibrant 30-unit apartment building located in the heart of Uptown Oakland, conveniently close to BART and the bustling areas of Downtown Oakland. We offer a mix of one-bedroom, studio, and SRO units and are seeking a dedicated individual to help manage daily operations and tenant relations.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively handle and respond to emergency situations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property is well-maintained and secure.
- Manage tenant relations, including complaint resolution, lease enforcement, and communication of occupancy rules.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of units and building facilities, occasionally performing minor repairs directly.
- Facilitate building maintenance by coordinating with service providers and overseeing necessary repairs.
- Ensure building security by implementing and enforcing precautionary measures.
- Manage administrative duties such as maintaining lease records, handling late payments, and serving notices.
- Support the leasing process by assisting with showing units and managing lease signings.
- Handle weekly trash and recycling duties.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- At least one year of experience in onsite property management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with Propertyware or similar property management software.
- Capability to perform light maintenance tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
Compensation:
- This is a part-time position offering free housing in lieu of a salary.
