We are seeking an onsite assistant manager with handyman skills for a beautiful apartment complex in Daly City. Excellent neighborhood. The on-site manager must possess moderate handyman skills or will not be considered for the position. This person must live on-site full-time and be able to be on-call for emergencies. An individual with sufficient outside passive income (pension, social security, annuity, or investment income) is ideal.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The assistant manager is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the building, including the following:
Collecting & depositing rent
Reporting through various computer programs and meetings with Supervisor
Lease apartments as they become vacant
Prepare Leases and other notices
Tenant and vendor relations & correspondence.
Moderate maintenance in the categories of plumbing, carpentry, & painting. Duties include, but are not limited to: partially painting vacant units, clear plumbing lines, replacing light bulbs and light fixtures, replacing smoke detectors and other hardware, touch up cleaning of common areas, etc.
Patrol & Pick up grounds
Clean common areas, including laundry rooms, and dumpster areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to relocate and live on-site
Applicant must have an open and flexible schedule that allows for he/she to perform the required duties in a timely and reasonable manner
Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
Must be able to perform various maintenance
Possess excellent problem solving and listening skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Rent Collection software.
Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to pick up parts and banking.
