The Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University is seeking a temporary part time 50% FTE (20hrs/wk) Clinical Research Coordinator Associate. The Clinical Research Coordinator Associate will work closely with the physicians and staff at the Stanford Sleep Medicine Center to ensure that patients are properly enrolled in the research study, receive complete information about their tests and procedures, have their data from their tests and outcome measures properly collected, and are provided access to their results. This individual will be involved in all aspects of patient care in the project and will be responsible for consenting patients, tracking the patients and their outcomes, and collecting and transferring samples and date in a secure and quality-assured manner. This individual will work closely with the Principal Investigator and research administrative staff to ensure the project is meeting its goals. The position would be based out of the Stanford Redwood City clinic and would be considered a HYBRID Position.

Part-time (20 hours/week) | Hybrid | 6-month assignment & potential extension | Availability during Pacific Time business hours required

Duties include:

- Recruitment for sleep-related research studies, including:

o reviewing electronic medical records (Epic) of patients to evaluate whether they meet inclusion/exclusion criteria for research studies

o calling patients to see if they are interested in research studies, and if so, informing them about the studies and obtaining informed consent

- Completion of study-related documents and submitting protocols, consents, and other materials to the IRB.

- Virtual or in-person meetings with participants for completion of questionnaires or other assessments

- Provide follow up on calls from patients, research team, or administration

- Ensure essential documentation and recording of patient and research data in appropriate files per institutional and regulatory requirements.

- Reporting of adverse events to IRB

- Closeout of research studies with research team and sponsors

- Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

- BA/BS degree in a related science field

- Prior experience with project management

- Basic knowledge of medical terminology

The expected pay range for this position is $28.50 to $35.00 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs
