If you are looking for the next step in your career and have experience in Solar project management please read on for more details.Our ideal Project Manager has strong residential/commercial PV solar knowledge and can put that experience to good use as they focus on successful PV solar installations and daily involvement in solar projects. In this role, the Project Manager will take ownership of a "book" of projects, managing them throughout the production lifecycle, from close-of-sale to Permission to Operate.What we’re offering:$65,000 - $85,000 per year depending on experienceHealth Insurance - We offer 16 different health plans, and cover 90% of the employee premium for our base planDental/Vision Insurance - 90% of the Employee monthly premium paid by us$10,000 Life Insurance Policy - 100% paid by us!15 days of PTO in your first yearPlus 7 paid holidays per year401(k) planEmployee Assistance ProgramAnd more!Key responsibilities:Manage our Solar Installation pipeline with oversight from our Senior Project Manager and Operations DirectorEnsure projects are completed on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiencyCoordinate and run pre-construction and in-progress meetings with internal and external stakeholdersForecast installation timelines and assist with overseeing project schedulesConduct all communication with general contractors, subcontractors, and project owners, with an emphasis on tactful/proactive communication and construction acumenEffectively manage the expectations of general contractors, subcontractors, and project owners;address issues in a knowledgeable, solution-oriented mannerAct as a liaison with external vendors, employing strong subcontractor relationships and negotiation skillsClearly articulate and document project scopes and specs, ensuring that scopes for install crews are up-to-date and clear-cutField job site issues, collaborating with our superintendents to present timely solutions to general contractors and project ownersCommunicate with sales consultants, superintendents, foremen, and other internal team membersDocument project specifics and track updates in our CRM toolReview contracts and issue contract addendums; maintain all change orders, permit submittals, and plan set documentsRequirements:1-2 years of solar construction experience requiredKnowledge of residential and/or commercial construction preferred; background in architecture or engineering also applicableWell-versed in construction terminology and conceptsStrong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with a variety of tradespeopleAbility to read and interpret blueprints, PV plan sets, or similarUnderstanding of permitting processes; experience with local and state jurisdictions preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlinesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently, taking full ownership of assigned projects and deliverablesTeam player with a positive attitude and willingness to accept constructive feedbackExceptional attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and multitasking skillsAbout Simply Solar:At Simply Solar, we are dedicated to helping California communities adopt clean energy and achieve a brighter future.
