Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare quotes and bids: Create detailed and competitive price estimates for clients or contractors.
Determine costs: Calculate the total cost of a project by pricing materials and labor. Contact vendors to acquire pricing and data sheets for specified materials.
Communicate with stakeholders: Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, installers, and suppliers to ensure all project details are correct.
Analyze project plans: Review architectural drawings and project documents to understand the scope of work and identify areas requiring flooring.
Perform take-offs: Accurately measure floor plans to calculate the exact amount of material needed. Utilize Measure Desktop program. Requirements:
Technical skills: Measurement techniques, Proficient with Excel, RFMS, Microsoft Word, email
Analytical skills: Ability to read blueprints, review project specifications, and conduct precise calculations.
Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and clear verbal and written communication. Must be able to multi-task and troubleshoot discrepancies and research solutions
Industry knowledge: Understanding of construction principles and different types of flooring materials and installation processes.
Education/Experience: A degree in a related field or several years of experience in construction estimating or flooring installation is preferred. Job Type: Full-time Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year / commensurate to experience
