Welcome to TAC! An incredibly creative and cutting-edge music program. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a department manager. As an essential member of the TAC Ops team, you will help to support our growing department and help to create an outstanding experience for students, faculty and fellow staff. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Director in the day-to-day operations of the TAC program. If you are a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a love for music technology and education, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of SFCM.Working closely with the Executive Director, the department manager is responsible for helping to maintain and support the daily operations of the TAC program with a focus on scheduling, production assistance and budget management. This position also helps to support our students and fosters academic and musical excellence, professional development, community, and diversity within the TAC Programs.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Perform general administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the program, such as working with students, instructors, and staff to ensure the smooth implementation of organizational policies and procedures.Coordinate logistics pertaining to the Technology and Applied Composition department, as well as working closely with all other administrative departments at SFCMCreate and maintain comprehensive spreadsheets (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets) that track departmental expenses and outline year-end projections. This includes managing and coding receipts, processing expense reports, TAC faculty timesheets, and TAC guest honorarium agreements in coordination with the Executive DirectorSchedule TAC classes and assign professors to courses (as needed) in coordination with the Registrar and Executive Director, in addition to maintaining the TAC department calendar and TAC event listings in collaboration with the Production and Artistic Operations departmentsProvide coordination support for TAC departmental projects, recording sessions, guest lectures, department events, additional creative projectsActively manage social media accounts to expand community exposure and support year-long recruiting initiatives.Support the Executive Director, TAC, with recruiting and admissions endeavorsTrain, support, and manage TAC department student workersPerform other duties as neededSelf-motivated, demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and maturity under pressure, and anticipates and resolves problems with a positive, creative and friendly team-oriented demeanorHigh level of organizational ability, utmost attention to detail, and ability to set priorities and meet deadlinesEffective communication skills, both written and verbalA deep interest or passion for music, technology, education and student successExperience in spreadsheet management, proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google SuiteCompetency with MacOS, Familiarity with Adobe Creative SuiteBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experienceAdditional Preferred Qualifications Experience in a similar role within an educational or arts organization.Familiarity with music education programs and curriculum.Audio and/or video production skills.Visual design, video production, and social media skills.Some level of familiarity with music and audio productionComfortable with public speakingBi/Multilingual How to ApplyWe prefer to receive applications through our website.
