Assistant to Lead at Environmental Consulting Agency

Pay: $25/hour

Schedule: 5+ hours/week, flexible

Location: Hybrid, 2 hours/week in home office in Albany, CA

Classification: Contract

I’m a longtime environmental leader. Green Strategy (https://greenstrategy.net/) is the name under which I offer professional services to environmental and social justice efforts since 2023. I partner with non-profits, foundations, and private companies to solve the biggest problems.

My services include:

Coaching senior decision-makers on the challenges they face,

Supporting the creation of organizational cultures of respect & shared community,

Creating and implementing programmatic, fundraising, and philanthropic strategies that empower real change in the world,

Defining and implementing effective solutions to problems like toxic chemicals, plastics and climate change,

Crafting genuine, inspirational, and effective communications, and

Building valuable relationships between private companies and non-profit organizations.

Assistant's Responsibilities

I’m looking for a part-time assistant to help me meet my growing administrative, service-delivery, communications, and other needs:

Administrative Needs:

Billing

Contracts

Scheduling

Research re: administrative, legal, and compliance questions

Service-Delivery Needs:

Taking notes

Research re: needs and support of Green Strategy clients

Communications Needs:

Email

Website updates

The assistant will also help with other tasks as requested and agreed to.

Qualifications

I’m looking for an assistant who is conscientious, reliable, self-directed, and able to work from my home office in Albany, California, a couple hours per week, and remotely and on a flexible schedule the rest of the week.

Other skills and attributes I’m looking for include:

Clear and professional written and spoken communication

A keen eye for detail

Flexibility about doing many different kinds of work, including administrative

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google business suite, and other common office software

Ability to support and troubleshoot IT issues

Research skills

Ability to take notes in meetings with me and others

Team mindedness

Interest in environment and social justice

Confidence, initiative, and a propensity to take pride in one’s work
