Admin Assistant/Bookkeeper(approximately 10 - 20 hours per week)

We are looking for a part-time administrative assistant/bookkeeper. For now hours are limited, as business grows so will the hours, ultimately into a full time position. This is a long-term opportunity. If you are not able to commit to long-term employment, please do not respond.

This is a professional office environment. The position requires the applicant to communicate in a business-like manner. Effective written and verbal communications skills are a must. You must be a competent writer with the ability to create business correspondence without utilizing or relying on any previous examples or assistance. At the conclusion of the interview, candidates will be required to submit a short writing sample to prove their competence. Writing in text format and creating your own acronyms are unacceptable. Your sample will be based on a topic we present to you so please do not bring a sample created prior to the interview.

Duties include but are not limited to, answering phones, opening mail, faxing, scanning, bookkeeping, communicating(via email and phone) with clients and partners. Candidates with general working knowledge of QuickBooks, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Outlook, and Word are preferred; however, we are willing to train the right person.

Ideally, we would like someone to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm, between 10 to 20 hours per week; there is room for flexibility. Please note, this is NOT a remote working arrangement, in-office work is required.

Lastly, you will be hired as a contractor not as an employee. Compensation is monthly, prepared the first of every month. If monthly compensation is unacceptable, please do not respond. You must pass a background check.
