TLC’s thriving programs offer a continuum of evidence-based treatment and relationship-focused care to youth and families. We provide comprehensive quality mental health services, foster care and adoption services, residential treatment, special education services and transitional housing. Position Summary:

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the social services and child welfare field. Participation in agency and community trainings will help you increase your skills and ability. You will be a valued member of a team committed to supporting foster youth to reach their highest potential.

We are seeking an individual who can contribute their expertise, leadership, creativity, solid work ethic, and playfulness to our spirited team of social workers, service providers and resource families.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a social science field6 months of experience working with childrenMust be able to pass a criminal history background check, drug screen and physical.Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license, vehicle insurance and a good driving record; must be able to drive personal vehicleBilingual in Spanish preferredEssential Functions:Support Counselor responsibilities include coaching, mentoring, skill building and supportive feedback to youth and their resource families. Hours vary and will include evenings and weekends.Wage range: $20.20 – $22.74/hr.
