ORGANIZATION
Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) was founded in 1975 and its mission is to empower youth in our community to find their way through social-emotional support and by building safe, accepting communities. To achieve this, ACS operates four programs serving 10-25 year olds in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties: the On-Campus Counseling Program, providing free counseling on-campus at partner secondary schools; the Outlet Program, providing support, education, leadership development, and advocacy for LGBTQQ+ youth; the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program, providing assessment, outpatient treatment, aftercare, and education; and the Community Counseling Program, providing affordable individual and family counseling during the afternoon and evening hours.
This position is perfect for individuals who are post degreed and looking for management responsibilities while still accumulating clinical licensing hours. The position is also ideal for individuals who have children in school as the schedule follows schools’ schedules. Licensed Clinicians with two+ years post licensure are encouraged to apply as well!
OVERVIEW:
ACS is seeking an effective and professional Site Manager for several of the ACS On Campus Counseling Program Sites. The ideal candidate would be responsible for overseeing and providing clinical services on elementary, middle, or high school campuses, collaborating with school administration, developing new Mental Health service protocols and procedures and, ideally, providing clinical supervision of unlicensed interns. The Site Manager would work collaboratively within the on-campus administrative team in developing innovative delivery of services according to the current state of the pandemic.
The Site Manager is the "face" of ACS. It is his/her/their primary responsibility to be current on all cases and referrals as well as to provide mental health counseling, case management and consultation services to enrolled students and their families. The Site Manager also provides psycho-education and consultation to staff at the school site in which they are employed. The Site Manager will be part of an innovative team of managers helping to adapt and evolve all of our youth programming based on the limitations imposed by the pandemic and in response to the social movements under way.

DUTIES:
1. To oversee all therapeutic services provided by interns including individual, family and group therapy to a caseload of roughly 25-120 students depending on the site.
2. Screen referrals to the program and assign interns/trainees where appropriate, meet regularly with school teachers and administrative as needed.
3. Serve as a community liaison to connect families with outside referral/resources.
4. Attend all case related meetings as requested by school staff, including SST, IEP, disciplinary meetings.
5. Assist with crisis intervention and treatment.
6. Help plan and present trainings; monitor and summarize statistics and demographic data; review case files; be available for individual or group crisis work.
7. Represent the On-Campus Counseling Program internally (to other ACS staff, Board of Directors, Friends of ACS) and externally (to parents, community, donors, and graduate schools).
8. As assigned by Clinical Director, attend occasional monthly ACS Board of Directors meetings; prepare written and oral reports; write articles for ACS newsletter and PTA newsletters; make presentations to school staff, parents and students
QUALIFICATIONS:
Professionals in the mental health field (LMFT, LCSW, Ph.D., Psy.D.); experience working with young children, adolescents and families, experience in school setting a plus. This position is perfect for individuals who are post degreed and looking for management responsibilities while still accumulating clinical licensing hours. The position is also ideal for individuals who have children in schools as the schedule follows schools’ schedules. Bi-lingual Spanish highly preferred. Experience working or living within LatinX communities a plus. A strong commitment to understanding how to support and serve marginalized clients.
