Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this position provides educationally related mental health services (ERMS) in the form of individual, family and group therapy, and case management to students and their families enrolled in the Journey Academy program. The position requires dedication and patience in developing and maintaining a strong therapeutic approach which encourages engagement in treatment and progress towards treatment goals. The clinician works closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Functions:Ensure that each client is provided with the required mental health services per their IEP services plan.Assess, plan, organize, and implement clinical treatment services, including crisis management.Attend behavioral health and multi‐disciplinary team meetings.Participate in IEP meetings, and monitor progress on IEP social‐emotional goals.Participate in the after‐hours emergency/crisis on‐call team on a rotating basis.Flexibility in providing clinical services to clients across TLC programs as needed.Skills:Dedication, commitment, and skills in developing and maintaining a therapeutic alliance with clients.Ability to relate to adolescents and families with a wide array of social, emotional and academic problems.Flexibility in schedule, routine, and planning is essential.Confidence in providing support to adolescents who are dysregulated or in crisis.Ability to clearly and professionally express oneself, both orally and in writing.Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Counseling is required.Registered or Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences and in good standing is required.Obtain and maintain fingerprint, government and agency required background clearances, without additional exemptions.Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screen.TLC offers a generous benefit package for full time staff including: 100% employer paid health, dental and vision plans for the employee. Salary Range: Pre-Licensure: $70,720 - $79,595 per year, depending on years of experience.Licensed: $76,960 - $86,619 per year, depending on years of experience.Apply here!
