This position is one where we will be providing you a professional training that will give you the ability to train dogs from a strong educational and experience driven program. Alpha Dog University is privileged to be in partnership with a nationally recognized Dog Training Professional (author and trainer – Mike Wombacher) Note: We also have a Service Dog focussed team that employs our Trainer graduates who have an interest in providing support animals for clients with specific medical and psychological needs.

Qualifications :
This role is ideal someone who likes working outdoors as your day will be spent between at the facility, beach or dog park. If you like staying in an office sitting in a cubicle this is not the job for you.
If you have some experience multi-tasking many high priority responsibilities and are able to maintain a positive, patient attitude while being barked at you will thrive.
Dogs (and their owners) can sometimes be unpredictable and this position requires the ability to quickly adapt to changes, comfortable in making decisions and able to communicate clearly both to canines and their human parents.
You must have the ability to think critically, comfortable taking direction and interested in learning.
This is a physically demanding role that requires you to be active and always moving. The good news is that our hard work is always rewarded in the form of happy wagging tails

An ability to follow directions from your instructor as well as other team members
A Commitment to learning and completing your training

An interest in a stable full time position with the opportunity for growth (if you want it)
An ability to work five full time shifts a week
The ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
The ability to work outdoors in all seasons
The ability to stand for up to 8 hours
Job responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
Personally resolving customer issues; updating your team members and leaders management and staff as to resolution issues and outcomes of those issues.
Training dogs on site
Comfortable driving to different off site locations managing the dogs, loading and offloading.
Comfortable training a dog while offsite.
Upsell a range of our awesome services (grooming, training, puppy social)
Completing Report Cards and preparing video notes and ensuring this information is communicated to Pet Parents appropriately and in a timely manner
Supervising and maintaining order in a large group of loud and active dogs
General facility and vehicle sanitation
Knowing each dog’s placement and escorting dogs to the indoor and outdoor areas
Taking a genuine interest and learning all dog names and personalities
