Berlin Food & Lab Equipment is looking for an experienced sheet metal fabricator with 3-5 years experience in the food service & lab equipment industry. Sheet metal press brake/welding operation experience will be a useful tool. Multi focused individual with strong layout abilities. Range Hoods, Casework, Cabinets, Sinks, Misc Willing to also look at talented individuals that are also outside that experience minimum, but can hit the ground running. This position is for an in-house sheet metal layout and equipment fabricator. This position will primarily be for our high end residential range hoods, countertops, sinks, casework etc. plus biotech and life science equipment projects

Excellent blueprint and drafting skill reading
Good communication skills
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Work in a shop environment with min noise/dust/logistics levels
Expert in the use of metal hand tools and machinery
Safely life 40-50 lbs from a squatting position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adheres to all Company Policy Procedures & Department Procedures.
Brings to the attention of management, problems which affect the production / quality of the area for which responsible.
Completes all assignments in an efficient, timely manner and procedures are followed.
Meets production schedules on delivery requirements.
Set up pre-fitted parts for welders. Uses hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures.
Work from specifications, drawings, prints or welding symbols.
May perform layout work & fit up.
Checks work in process for any post fab employee requiring an in-process inspection sign off during the shift.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate good hand and eye coordination.
Excellent blue-print reading abilities.
Excellent welding capabilities.
Good communication skills.
Understand specific work order flow.
Able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Able to keep arms bent for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to work day/swing/night as required.
Work in a shop environment with a medium level noise and metal dust particles.
Well versed in the use of all machinery and tolls used in Welding.
Min High School Diploma/GED Required
Min 1-3 Years of Experience in fabrication
