Global leader in contract manufacturing for the semiconductor industry is seeking a seasoned professional for manufacturing precision plastic components for semiconductor equipment.
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of all aspects of plastics manufacturing including;
Properties and applications for all types of plastic materials, including polypro, PVC, PET, PPS, Vespel, Torlon, etc.
Equipment selection for manufacturing
Plastic manufacturing procedures; including machining, welding, bending, stress relief, inspection and finishing
Plastic tray manufacturing
Chemical delivery systems
Industry certifications
This position allows you to work from home. You will be working closely with our overseas manufacturing facilities, via email, text and online meetings. You will be provided with drawings of precision plastic parts from major semiconductor equipment manufacturers and, using your expertise and experience, make decisions concerning equipment requirements (milling, turning, bending, welding, stress relieving), tooling requirements (clamps, vacuum table, collets, bits), and process requirements (feed and speed rates, welder setup, stress relief setpoints). You will also need to write procedures, provide training, and interact with vendors and customers, so good communication skills are a must.
An applicable Engineering degree with a 10+ year track record of success is required.
