JOB DESCRIPTION: Production Manager
Reports to: Under the direction of Executive Management
RESPONSIBILITIES:
NOTE: The VP of Operations or President may assign additional supervisory responsibilities as appropriate to the job function.
Attends daily Production Control meetings and supervised production lead to arrange assembler workflow to ensure shift production goals are met; resolves or reports any discrepancies.
Supervises production line operations in accordance with company policies and procedures and customer requirements for assemblies or sub-assemblies.
Verifies appropriate documents and materials accompany the assembly kit, reports any discrepancies between the customer requirement and the plans, test methods, special inspection instructions and/or work instructions as appropriate.
Ensures assemblers follow Engineering and inspection documents, along with customer specifications and material lists to ensure that all assembly, inspecting and testing steps were performed according to requirements.
Monitors and supervises (with QA) first article inspections for newly released production components.
Familiarity with sampling procedures and tables; workmanship standards (i.e., ANSI, IPC620, IPC-A-610, Rev. B) and inspection criteria.
Thorough knowledge of quality system requirements and international quality system standards, including ISO 9001:2015
Interfaces with cross-functional teams to support special projects and resolution of non-conformances.
Attends weekly quality meetings and provides input regarding failure analysis root cause of nonconforming product.
Ability to multi-task and arrange assemblers work flow to meet customer required delivery dates.
Ensure adherence to the company’s Quality System, employment policies and procedures including but not limited to; reporting of deviations from Quality System objectives, reporting employee productivity or performance issues; reporting of safety issues; reporting of injuries or illnesses; reporting of damaged materials; scrap or rework.
Supervises production training program
Optimizes of labor time or avoids material discrepancies. Collects and analyzes production information, develops reports and action plans for Executive Management Review

Proficient in the use of PC, business and technical software
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in working with drawing and work instruction packages and the ability to explain assembly techniques to line assembly personnel as required.
Ability to read and comprehend drawings or specifications
Reasoning ability: problem solving
5-7 years in assembly operations and experience in a manufacturing environment
