Report to: Quality Control Manager

Job Summary Performs inspection of parts using standard measuring instruments, Optical Comparator

and Manual Coordinate Measuring Machine, engraves identification, and files inspection records.

Duties and Responsibilities (as minimum and not limited to)

· Performs dimensional inspection of parts per drawing requirements using all standard measuring

instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gage, dial indicators, pin gages). Record data necessary to

describe the compliance of the part.

· Perform surface finish roughness measurements using profilometer and record data necessary to

describe the compliance of the part.

· Identify acceptance of inspected lots by approving inspection reports done by CMM or manual inspections.

· Perform visual inspection of machined parts.

· Keep serialization records of all inspected parts as required by customer.

· File inspection records and any other data in numerical order per part numbers.

· Set up and perform the laser identification of parts as required by customer and internal workmanship

standards.

· Initiate Internal Discrepant Report for non-compliant parts.

· Set up and perform the inspection of profiles in shadow and in reflection on Optical Comparator.

Record data.

· Set up and perform the inspection of parts using Manual Coordinate Measuring Machine. Record

data necessary to describe the compliance of the part.

· Set up existing programs for running on programmable Coordinate Measurement Machine

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Ability to do algebra calculations and working knowledge of trigonometry

· Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings and Sketches with basic knowledge of Geometric

Dimensioning and Tolerancing ANSI Y14.5.

Credentials and Experience

· Associates degree with courses in calculus, algebra, drafting

· Two years related experience or

· Equivalent combination of education and experience

Special Requirements (established by supervisor) Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as

requested by Quality Assurance Manager

Training

· Quality Control Manager or Director of Quality can provide on the job training for this position

· During the training period all duties performed will be under close supervision of Quality Control
