Raptor Scientific, a Global Aerospace & Defense Test and Measurement Company, is excited to welcome a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Technician II to our dynamic Production Team where you'll play a pivotal part in the creation and assembly of our cutting-edge products. Your primary job function will consist of electro-mechanical assembly, cable and wiring assembly, and various mechanical builds. As part of the Raptor Scientific Family, the RF Systems group specializes in radar cross section (RCS) measurement systems and is constantly innovating to produce the next generation of products. We have a multifaceted team that develops cutting edge measurement systems in support of the Aerospace and Defense industry. Our team is focused on customer needs and providing full spectrum support including engineering, field measurement, software development and manufacturing.

The full-time hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. A full benefits package is available after 90 days.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform simple to complex electro-mechanical assemblies according to provided specifications and assembly instructions.

Build various types of wire and cable assemblies as well as mechanical assembly.

Assist with other daily duties as needed, such as filling out required checklists, job kit-ting, labeling, etc.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Perform other duties as assigned to maintain efficiency on the production floor.

REQUIREMENTS

3 - 6 years demonstrated experience in electro-mechanical assembly.

Demonstrated experience with soldering, crimping, and wire/cable assembly.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electronics field.

Quick learning ability.

Strong productive work ethic with high attention to quality.

Mechanical abilities to include the use of power hand tools/equipment.

Electronic troubleshooting skills and/or use of multi-meters a plus.

Experience in the use of torque wrenches a plus.

Ability to read wiring diagrams a plus.

Basic computer skills to include familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs within the department.

Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds or assist in lifting large items

Ability to be on feet for up to 6 hours a day when required

EDUCATION

Requires a high school diploma.

Completion of apprenticeship and/or formal training and/or an AS degree is desired.
