We are hiring for a full-time position, starting immediately.
Starting pay is $20/hr. (can be increased after probation period)
Full benefits offered after a 90-day probation period (medical and dental with option to add family members)
Earn up to 40hrs. paid vacation for the first year (earnings available after first 90 days), then up to 80hrs. paid vacation after one complete year of employment. This is in addition to Paid Sick Leave.
We are a small family shop that focuses on custom plastic thermoforming (a.k.a. vacuum forming) located in Oakland. We have been in operation for over 70 years. We form and trim various custom parts for several different applications depending on our customers' needs.
Job Requirements:
- Operate CNC router
- Operate table saw
- Operate band saw
- Operate thermoforming machine
- Operate baler
- Operate power hand tools
- Ability to lift 35lbs regularly
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Shop experience preferred but not required
Training will be provided on-site
Expectations:
- Arrive on time and ready to work
- Wear properly fitted clothes; this is a safety issue as loose clothing can get tangled in machinery
- Tie long hair back; safety issue for same reason as above
- Wear comfortable, secure shoes
- Listen carefully to directions and follow safety procedures
Hours of Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
