This position requires that the individual have at least one year or equivalent experience.
The machine operator is an apprentice who has some machining background. This is a temporary, full-time position with the potential to be permanent. The candidate should be willing and able to learn the following:
Set up, operate machine, perform in-process inspection, and deburr parts; will train.
Create and update tracking documentation for machined parts
Receive and load material
Perform shop maintenance such as cleaning work area and conduct machine maintenance
The ideal candidate must have the following capabilities:
Able to follow instructions easily and work with limited supervision over time
Basic computer skills
Possess some level of mechanical and measurement skills
Familiar with basic machine operation
Have some experience with measurement tools
Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
Read, write and speak English
Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Additional experience (a plus)
Certified or in process of receiving machining certification
Some understanding of CNC machining
